Smoking kills 8 million people, while alcohol kills 3 million. Diabetes causes 1 out of 9 deaths; Heart disease causes 1 out of 3. Jesus wants to break every yoke!

Do you know someone who died too early from heart disease, diabetes, or cancer?
Most of us do.
Heart disease alone is responsible for 1 out of every 3 deaths worldwide.
Smoking kills 8 million people each year, including 1.2 million who never smoked but breathed secondhand smoke.
Someone dies from diabetes every 9 seconds.
Alcohol use kills 3 million people annually and harms millions more through addiction, violence, and broken families.
Beyond alcohol and tobacco, substance abuse continues to devastate lives.
Over 75,000 people die each year from drug overdoses, leaving families shattered and communities grieving.
These are not just statistics.
They are empty chairs at tables.
Unanswered phone calls.
Lives cut short.
Most heart disease, the majority of type 2 diabetes, and a large amount of cancers are preventable through lifestyle changes. People who change to whole-food, plant-based eating with regular exercise will have lower rates of chronic disease, longer and better quality of life.
But it's so hard to change. People need help. They need friends who care and support them for change. People need the power of God to enable them to break free from habits that bind.
Weimar Institute did it. They established an 8-part highly effective residential and online program called NEW START which helps people reverse diabetes, heart disease, and reduces the risk of many cancers through a wholistic lifestyle approach. Similar programs exist at the Ardmore Institute of Health, Black Hills Health and Education Center, Eden Valley Institute of Wellness, MEET Ministry, Uchee Pines, Wildwood Lifestyle Center, and Youngberg Clinic.
What could you do to strengthen someone to change their habits like to quit smoking, drinking, and eating unhealthful foods?
