Uncover your Mission

Buddhists

Approximately 1 billion people are influenced by Buddhism and its focus on salvation through works. Jesus wants us to restore streets to dwell in, showing the path of salvation (Isaiah 58:12).

Devoted Buddhists focus on meditating and doing good works in the hope to be free from their karma so they can be released from suffering. Buddhism teaches no personal God or forgiveness of sins. Learn about the history of Buddhism, the Four Noble Truths, the Three Gems, and the Eightfold Path.

There are 482 unreached people groups that are primarily Buddhist, such as Thai, Cambodian, Tibetan, and the Ngalop of Bhutan. View countries with a majority of Buddhists here. Buddhists are about 1% of the population in Canada, France, Germany, and the USA.

Is it possible to bring the Gospel to such huge numbers of people who have such different beliefs? Jesus said it would happen before He returns (Matthew 24:14). In Acts 1:8 He promised that the Holy Spirit would be just what was needed to make it happen. Isaiah 58-61 tells how it will happen. Jesus wants us to restore streets of safety to dwell in, showing the path of salvation (Isaiah 58:12). Will you commit to uncover your part?

“Heaven’s plan of salvation is broad enough to embrace the whole world. God longs to breathe into prostrate humanity the breath of life. And He will not permit any soul to be disappointed who is sincere in his longing for something higher and nobler than anything the world can offer. Constantly He is sending His angels to those who, while surrounded by circumstances the most discouraging, pray in faith for some power higher than themselves to take possession of them and bring deliverance and peace. In various ways God will reveal Himself to them and will place them in touch with providences that will establish their confidence in the One who has given Himself a ransom for all, ‘that they might set their hope in God, and not forget the works of God, but keep His commandments.’ Psalm 78:7.” (Prophets and Kings, 377-378).
