Uncover your Mission

Refugees

1 in 70 people in the world is not able to live at home. Most of these are refugees and those displaced inside by war. Jesus urges, Bring into your house the poor who are cast out!

As a refugee or internally displaced person you can no longer sleep in your bed, go to school with your friend, shop at your store, or sit with your neighbor. 36.4 million are refugees, struggling to survive in a new country. Approximately 42.7 million are refugees, people who have fled their home country seeking safety. (UNHCR). 73.5 million are internally displaced  people forced from their homes but still within their own country. (UNHCR) Almost half of all displaced people are children, who have lost stability, education, and security. (popstats.unhcr.org)

The majority are from just five countries: Venezuela, Syrian Arab Republic, Ukraine, Afghanistan, Sudan. Many countries are now less welcoming to refugees. It is often difficult to make a living in a new place.

Millions of families remain far from home  many for years  living in refugee camps, shelters, or crowded urban neighborhoods, struggling to rebuild their lives.

How will you help bring hope and healing to those displaced from home?
